Function: The quartz-accurate and dustproof BS-D timer is an optional accessory for the battery-powered Electronic Doorkeeper (VSBb and VSD), Electronic Doorkeeper and flap actuator. It is used when the electronic Doorkeeper – and thus the slide gate – is to be controlled on a timed basis (for example, opening and closing at set times, or opening at a set time and closing at dusk). The BS-D timer with batteries can control up to three VSBs simultaneously (use of a terminal block and separate cables (to be provided by the customer) – please enquire in advance). The BS-D contains 2 AA batteries (Mignon), which will last for approximately six years. A necessary battery change is indicated in good time. All settings are retained for approximately two minutes whilst the batteries are being changed. If dusk falls at around 10:30 p.m. in June, for example, you can use the BS-D timer to have the shutter close automatically at 10:00 p.m. (factory setting). Automatic closing is therefore also possible before dusk. If, a few weeks later, it gets dark before this time, automatic closing will resume at dusk. The timer sets a time period during which the gate is always closed. Outside this period, the gate will close or open depending on the light conditions. If you do not want this to happen, the twilight sensor in the Doorkeeper must be deactivated. This is done using a jumper cable supplied with the timer. Customer note: In the event of a malfunction or a motor that is not working, the motor is not necessarily the source of the fault. Please contact us before purchasing to identify any other possible causes of the fault, or please send the device to us for repair. Replacement motor (same type as SG-27063800-187K) for VSB, Doorkeeper VSD and Doorkeeper VSE. Please note: soldering skills are required to replace the motor. If the device is still under warranty, you can also send it in for repair. The warranty will be void if faults are caused by customer intervention. You no longer wish to use the mains power supply. Would you like to run your mains-powered Doorkeeper on batteries in future? It’s quite straightforward with these parts. You’ll receive a battery holder, the appropriate bracket for the housing and batteries.

Does the device no longer switch off when it gets dark? Is the cord wound round the spool the right way round (!)? However, short-circuiting pins 3 and 4 with a coin or similar causes the device to switch on, whilst removing the short-circuit causes it to switch off again? >> The internal light sensor is most likely faulty. Remove the internal sensor using pliers and plug this new internal sensor into pins 5 and 6 on the Doorkeeper You will need a pair of pliers or side-cutting pliers to remove the internal sensor. Cut the sensor off at the two pins above the circuit board. Make sure that any remaining wires from the old sensor do not touch each other.Note: If the device is still under warranty, this will be voided if you tamper with it. Please send the device to us for repair if it is still under warranty.

Connector, mounting aid for sliding plate and Doorkeeper Consists of a knurled nut + screw for fitting into the mounting hole of the slide. The loop on the device is hooked in and secured accordingly.

To control a VSB or Doorkeeper VSD ‘by time only’ using an external timer, the light sensor must be overridden/deactivated. This is done by plugging the small jumper into contacts 5 and 6 on the Doorkeeper control unit.
