Videos on Timers (ZS-D, BS-D)

Connection and setting of the external digital timers ZS-D and BS-D.

Connection for BS-D digital timer

  • Connect the clock using the supplied two-pin cable.
  • Pins 3 and 4 are always connected to the corresponding colours.
  • As soon as the clock is connected, the Doorkeeper is closed when the time falls within the black bars on the clock.
  • Outside the black bars, it is open when light, closed when dark = combined control.
  • Jumper on pins 5+6 = always open, except when the clock is within the black bars = pure time control

Connection for digital timer ZS-D

  • You connect the VSB+ST power supply unit directly to the clock.
  • Connect the clock to the Doorkeeper using the supplied three-pin cable.
  • Pins 2, 1 and 3 are always connected to the corresponding colours in both devices.
  • As soon as the clock is connected, the Doorkeeper is closed when the time falls within the black bars on the clock.
  • Outside the black bars, it is open when it is light and closed when it is dark = combined control.
  • Jumper on pins 5+6 = always open, unless the clock is within the black bars = pure time control.
  • The Doorkeeper is powered by a plug-in power supply (ST, 12V) via the timer (red, blue), Yellow wire = clock signal

Digital clock: Change opening time

  • e.g. changing from ‘Open at 8 am’ to ‘Open at 7 am’
  • Each black bar represents a continuous 15-minute closing period.
  • The black bars therefore symbolise the period during which the flap is definitely closed.
  • Once the time period has elapsed, the Doorkeeper decides whether to open or close the gate.
  • If the twilight sensor is active = open when it is light, close or remain closed when it is still dark
  • If the twilight sensor is deactivated via a jumper on pins 5 and 6 = always open outside of closing times
  • Important: When operating with the Electronic Doorkeeper, there must be NO ‘S’ below the minutes display.

Reset closing times completely

Delete and completely reset the closing time from 10 pm to 8 am.

Digital clock: Changing the time

Set the correct time of day so that the clock can control the Doorkeeper correctly.

If you hold down the button, the hours and minutes will advance more quickly.

Note: You do not need to keep your finger on the programming button at the bottom right whilst setting the hour or minutes. The ‘P’ must simply be active on the display for settings to be made.

Digital clock: Daylight saving time > set forward by 1 hour

Example: Set daylight saving time (1 hour forward)

Reset – Restarting the BS-D and ZS-D external timers

If the timer is not functioning correctly, removing, waiting, and reinserting the batteries will initiate a restart. Please note that any programmed closing times (black bars) and the current time will be deleted during this process.
