Doorkeeper VSD-SETs
The basics, with small to large flap
- One of our 3 standard flaps/doors is included here. The size is specified in the relevant product listing.
- Also included is a very useful martens guard rail, which you mount on the outside of the floor in front of your hatch. This prevents any predator from squeezing under the hatch and therefore stops them from opening it.
- A connecting screw with a knurled nut, to easily attach the device’s loop to the slider, is also included.
- Control via twilight and manually; the sensor’s sensitivity is easily adjustable and perfectly adequate for most
- Finding that you do need a timer after all? No problem – simply connect the external BS-D timer, and you’re done.
- Long battery life of 2–3 years
- Uses affordable alkaline AA batteries (4x)
- Would you still like to power it via a mains socket? Simply purchase a 12V mains adapter as well. It can be connected in parallel, so that the batteries take over should the power in the garden ever go out.
- It is opened and closed manually by briefly holding an operating magnet against a control panel on the housing – simple and durable.

Doorkeeper VSD with batteries, timing function via an external timer and chicken flap / slide gate, suitable for outdoor installation.
