To connect the slider and
the Doorkeeper, as well as as an extension for individual installations, must never
a heavy connecting piece or extension, such as a chain
or a heavy carabiner be used! The only thing that is normally permitted to
pull on the Doorkeeper’s cord is the flap itself. If this
rests on the floor, the weight on the Doorkeeper is removed and the motor
stops as normal. If anything additional then still pulls on the flap, this leads
to malfunctions during operation (e.g. rewound cord).
“Extension cord” always means a type of (non-flexible) builder’s string, fishing line or similar.
