Outdoor light sensors
These extension cables effectively replace the internal sensor. The internal sensor is covered or deactivated as soon as an external light sensor is connected.
This is required if you are installing a control unit inside the barn but wish to use the twilight function. The ambient light is much dimmer in the barn, particularly at dusk and dawn.
So if your Doorkeeper closes too early or opens too late, it may be that it isn’t receiving optimal light where it is fitted. Connect the outdoor light sensor, position the sensor head, and you’re done.
If you have an older VSB-type device (with silver foil in the cover) that is more than 10 years old, please contact us. We recommend a sensor with a different component, which is not available in the shop.

Note: If you are using an external light sensor for your VSB , please contact us . A different version of this part may be required to ensure correct operation. The ASb outdoor light sensor is an optional accessory for the VSC, Doorkeeper VSD and Doorkeeper VSE electronic doorkeepers. It is required if the doorkeeper is to be placed inside the stable and the twilight function is to be used. The outdoor light sensor is mounted in a protected position outside the barn or in a suitable opening and connected internally to the Doorkeeper via a cable. Where possible, the ASb sensor head should not be exposed directly to the elements but should be mounted in a protected location. Important note: Connecting the ASb brown wire > Pin No. 5 white wire > Pin No. 6 When connecting the external ASb sensor, it is important to ensure the connection is correct. Always connect the white wire to pin 6 and the brown wire to pin 5.
