The quartz-accurate and dustproof BS-D timer is an optional accessory for the battery-powered Electronic Doorkeeper (VSBb and VSD), Electronic Doorkeeper and flap actuator. It is used when the electronic Doorkeeper – and thus the slide gate – is to be controlled on a timed basis (for example, opening and closing at set times, or opening at a set time and closing at dusk).
The BS-D timer with batteries can control up to three VSBs simultaneously (use of a terminal block and separate cables (to be provided by the customer) – please enquire in advance).
The BS-D contains 2 AA batteries (Mignon), which will last for approximately six years. A necessary battery change is indicated in good time. All settings are retained for approximately two minutes whilst the batteries are being changed.
If dusk falls at around 10:30 p.m. in June, for example, you can use the BS-D timer to have the shutter close automatically at 10:00 p.m. (factory setting). Automatic closing is therefore also possible before dusk. If, a few weeks later, it gets dark before this time, automatic closing will resume at dusk. The timer sets a time period during which the gate is always closed. Outside this period, the gate will close or open depending on the light conditions. If you do not want this to happen, the twilight sensor in the Doorkeeper must be deactivated. This is done using a jumper cable supplied with the timer. This ensures that the gate remains open at all times, unless the timer closes it.
